Fuel injection is a system for mixing fuel with air in an internal combustion engine. It has become the primary fuel delivery system used in automotive petrol engines, having almost completely replaced carburetors in the late 1980s. A fuel-injected engine often produces more power than an equivalent carbureted engine. Fuel injection alone does not necessarily increase an engine's maximum potential output. Increased airflow is needed to burn more fuel, which in turn releases more energy and produces more power. |
Fuel Injections for any Diesel Engines either of single cylinder or multi cylinder is an integral part for continuous supply of fuel to head for fire the start up of engine. |
FUEL INJECTION PARTS INCLUDE
• NOZZLE
• PLUNGER / ELEMENT
• DELIVERY VALVE |
FUNCTION OF NOZZLE
The main purpose of the Fuel Injection Nozzle is to direct and atomise the metered fuel into the combustion chamber. The combustion chamber design dictates the type of nozzle, the droplet size and the spray required to acheive complete combustion within a given time and space.
TYPES OF NOZZLE
DN..S.., DN..P.., DLLA…NP.., DLLA...S..,
DLLA..S..(S)N..DSLA…P(S).., DLLA…P..,
SPLIT TYPE |
FUNCTION OF PLUNGER / ELEMENT |
The main function of plunger is to deliver the metered fuel. Element is made of barrel & plunger pin. The rotary movement of plunger inside barrel regulates the quantity of fuel
And passed it on upward direction for delivering the fuel. |
TYPE OF PLUNGER
A, AD, B, CAV, M, K, EP9, MW, MW THIN, Q, P, PD8, PS700, PF, TYPE |
FUNCTION OF DELIVERY VALVE |
1. To assist in the rapid built of pressure in the injection line.
2. To cut of the flow of fuel at the termination of fuel injection pulse. They are seated on top of the element. |
